| The President-Elect automatically assumes the position of President the following year. The responsibilities of the President-Elect include: assisting the President as requested; assuming the duties of the President in the event of the inability of the President to serve; strategizing with the President on BALRA policy and direction; serving as chief spokesperson of the organization and liaison to related organizations (e.g. NALP, LALRA, etc.); serving as liaison to one or more committees, as determined by the Executive Board. |
