The Attorney Recruiting Specialist provides comprehensive support to the Attorney Recruiting Manager in the management of the Law School Recruiting Program, Summer Associate Program, On-Campus Interviewing Program, 1L Hiring Program, On-Campus Recruiting Engagement and Fall Associates.  Additionally, supports lateral recruiting for the local office.  Provides recommendations for improving onboarding effectiveness. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

General Recruiting and Hiring

Applies seasoned knowledge and specialized recruiting knowledge to review resumes and applications, check references of select applicants, distribute materials of qualified applicants to appropriate parties, and maintain applicant files.
Establishes strong relationships with prospective hires to ensure substantive, ongoing contact with the Firm, and to promote desired acceptance rates.  Provides ongoing applicant communications, guidance, informational and policy assistance, etc.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external clients including attorneys, staff, law school Career Services Counselors, search firms, professional recruiting associations, etc.
Acts as ambassador for the Firm in all aspects of attorney recruiting, presenting a consistently professional and positive demeanor.
Responsible for the preparation of all relevant ATS notices and other documentation for new hires and transfers; proactively ensures that all necessary departments and parties are informed/notified to facilitate new hire arrivals and orientation.
Substantively participates in firmwide recruiting meetings and committees.
Summer Associate Program

Under the direction of the Attorney Recruiting Manager and guided by Firm objectives, assists with the facilitation of all aspects of the Summer Associate Program: orientation and training, scheduling, and coordination of all summer associate assignments. Assists with the mid-summer and end-of-summer performance review process.
Works under the general direction of the Attorney Recruiting Manager to provide input into the planning for the Summer Associate Program; coordinates meetings, assists with meeting agendas and creates communication plans, etc.
Supports the Attorney Recruiting Manager in working closely with the Office Hiring Partners and Practice Group Leaders in the selection of attorneys to serve as associate liaisons, work coordinators, and partner liaisons to summer associates; proactively assists with providing mentoring attorneys with appropriate information, training, planning support, etc.
Works closely with the Attorney Recruiting Manager to assist the Hiring Partners and Summer Associate Hiring Committee to facilitate the Summer Associate offer process.  Assists with the administrative execution of the offer process.
Responsible for the tactical planning of the Summer Associate Program events, with availability to attend all planned events as needed.
On-Campus Interviewing (OCI) Program

Responsible for assisting with the management of the On-Campus Interviewing Program for the offices including: resume review, scheduling call back interviews, and gathering feedback.
Assists with the management of the On-Campus Interviewing Program for designated schools including: resume distribution to appropriate parties upon receipt from schools; prepares interview packets and schedules for on campus interviewers; organizes call back meetings for on campus interviewers and provides the related interview materials. Demonstrates a sound understanding of the Firm’s recruiting position at various law schools.
Works closely with Hiring Partners and Attorney Recruiting Manager to develop and encourage attorney participation in Fall On-Campus Interviewing Program.  Ensures that all key stakeholders are informed at all times.
Applies experience to plan and coordinate various receptions and/or dinners at various schools and as part of on-campus recruiting.
Prepares offer letters. Assists in the coordination of tracking and compiling statistics of interviews, offers made, rejections, offers declined and all other recruiting records.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor’s degree and 4-5 years of recruiting experience, administrative assistant experience, or other related experience.
Strong technology skills in MS Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  Familiarity with Human Resources systems and relational databases preferred.
