Job Posting: Recruiting Assistant

Baker Botts, a full-service, leading international law firm recognized for our understanding of the industries we serve, is seeking a Recruiting Assistant for our Recruiting & Development Department. Under the supervision of the West Coast Senior Recruiting Coordinator, the Recruiting Assistant will support the summer associate and fall recruiting programs, lateral attorney hiring efforts, lawyer on-boarding and special projects. This is a full time, non-exempt position resident in our San Francisco office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintaining recruiting database, applicant tracking, processing all expense requests, generating all correspondence, statistical reporting and other duties as assigned.
 
Assisting with the planning and implementation all aspects of the Summer Associate Program including on-boarding/off-boarding, work assignments and evaluations, advisor programs, budget tracking, and event planning and attendance. This may require the ability to routinely lift and carry file folders weighing up to 5-10 pounds.
 
Assisting with the planning and implementation of all aspects of the fall and spring law school on-campus interviews. This may require the ability to transport various stacks of folders and packets to recruiting events without the assistance of others
 
Assisting with coordinating callback interviews and the offer process. This may require the ability to work at a computer and use the phone on a routine basis.
 
Assisting with entry level associate on-boarding and off-boarding.
 
Assist with lateral hiring including arranging interviews, coordinating necessary paperwork, and tracking applicants.
 
Other projects as assigned by Hiring Partner, Recruiting Manager, Partner-in-Charge of Recruiting, Director of Recruiting, Partner in Charge and Office Administrator.
 Other duties and responsibilities:

Assistance with professional development initiatives as needed.
 
Special projects such as research and statistical tracking.
 
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
 

Job Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree is required and six months of experience in a professional services office environment is preferred.
 
This position requires occasional travel and ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
 
Expert knowledge of software including email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and applicant tracking software (LawCruit preferred).
 
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
 
Must have ability to handle confidential information.
 
Must have strong interpersonal skills, patience, and ability to maintain effective relationships with co-workers and employees.
 
Must demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment, work under pressure and interact with all levels of staff and management effectively.
 
Must have strong organizational skills and highly detail oriented.
