Morrison & Foerster LLP, an Am Law 50 law firm with 16 offices worldwide, has an opening for an Attorney Recruiting Specialist within our Attorney Recruiting Group to provide support to our Los Angeles and San Diego offices.

The Opportunity 

Guided by department objectives and priorities, provides support to the Attorney Recruiting Manager in Los Angeles and San Diego.  Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.

Essential Functions

Under the direction of the Attorney Recruiting Manager:
  1. Assisting in General Recruiting and Hiring
  2. Summer Associate Program
  3. Fall On-Campus Interviewing (OCI) Program
  4. Lateral Recruiting and Hiring
  5. Tracking and Reporting
Ideal Candidate

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree and 3-4 years of recruiting experience, administrative assistant experience, or other related experience.
Teamwork and Applied Skills

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels within and outside the firm.
  2. Excellent organizational, process, and follow-through skills.  Ability to prepare accurate, highly detailed work product.
  3. Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment demonstrating reliability, dependability and flexibility is essential.
  4. Ability to prioritize assignments and work independently.  Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively.
  5. Ability to anticipate issues, assess information, and provide responsive solutions.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.  Ability to handle stressors related to the position and high interpersonal interaction.
  7. High client service ethic and a proven record in delivering exemplary client satisfaction to external and internal client constituencies.
  8. Ability to keep confidential any information, observations or viewpoints regarding Firm business matters.
  9. Strong technology skills in MS Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  Familiarity with Human Resources systems and relational databases preferred.
  10. Act as ambassador for the Firm in all aspects of attorney recruiting, presenting a consistently professional and positive demeanor.
