The Recruiting/HR Assistant is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Recruiting Manager, Human Resources Manager and Office Administrator. The Assistant performs all functions of staff and lawyer recruiting (lateral recruiting, law school recruiting and summer associate program), including, but not limited to coordinate travel arrangements; scan resumes and maintain application tracking database; send confirmation emails; reserve conference rooms, event venues and prepare event invitations; generate interview schedules; collect candidate evaluations; assist with on-campus interviews registration; maintain contact lists for summer associates; maintain summer program event calendar; coordinate create and maintain applicant files; complete data entry and oversee data maintenance.
Additional duties include day-to-day support of the human resources department including, prepare new hire packets; administer applicant employment testing; maintain staff attendance calendars; create and maintain HR and personnel files; and conduct new hire onboarding process. The Assistant will work with the Office Administrator to organize and plan office-related events, assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. The Assistant is expected to perform all job duties with a commitment to providing superior service, producing quality work, maintaining strict confidentiality and demonstrating good judgment, discretion and tact at all times. Hours are Monday through Friday – 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., evenings and weekends as required.
- Four-year college degree.
- Prior human resources, recruiting, event planning or administrative experience in an office environment preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience in a business environment.
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships within and outside of the Firm.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
